At thirty he put on the Roman royal crown, a year later the Bohemian crown, and at thirty-eight he became the master of the world when he was crowned Holy Roman Emperor.
Charles IV is certainly not a boring character from a history textbook. His amazingly adventurous life has long been the subject of a grand comic book adaptation.
